Conference Frequently Asked Questions

 

 

How do I register for the Conference?

Register for the meeting by visiting the Conference Registration Form. You can either complete the online form or print a PDF version of the form and mail it to editor@nifm.ac.inThere are no registration charges for this conference, it is free.

 

Are meals included with my registration?

At the conferenceAJNIFM typically provides daily breakfasts, lunch, and dinner on the full day of the conference, and several tea/coffee breaks with light snacks throughout the meeting. 

 

Can I register when I get to the conference?

We encourage all attendees to register for the conference in advance. This allows us to plan accordingly for the appropriate number of attendees and manage any accommodations needed. However, we know that sometimes plans are made at the last minute. If you arrive at the conference and need to register, please see the AJNIFM team at the registration desk for assistance.

 

Can I see what sessions will be presented before I arrive on site?

Yes. The program for the conference will be posted online as soon as it is finalized.

 

How can I find out when someone is scheduled to present?

The online searchable schedule for the conference has information about each of the sessions being presented, which will be posted online as soon as it is finalized.

 

Who can attend the Welcome session?

All conference attendees are invited to attend the Welcome session. Attendance is included with your registration.

 

Does AJNIFM have accommodation available for meeting attendees?

Yes. AJNIFM has reserved limited AC rooms for attendees within the campus. You can reserve a room through the Conference Registration Form while submitting the registration form

 

Do I get free Wi-Fi in my hostel room?

Yes, the hostel room is fully equipped with a Wi-Fi facility.

 

What are the Submission Guidelines for a Full Paper?

Please follow this checklist before submitting your document to AJNIFM. 

I.     Elements 

  • Full paper shall be less than 8000 words in length inclusive of tables and references.
  • Abstract of approximately 300-500 words in length.
  • Information about author affiliation. For example: John is a research fellow at the ABC Institute.
  • The text of all papers submitted to AJNIFM must be in Microsoft Word format (.docx file).
  • All figures and tables must be submitted in a separate file in an editable format (e.g., either in Excel or Word).

 

II.   Format and Style 

  • For figures and tables:
    • Titles of figures and the actual figures must be in separate cells (i.e., so that the title is not included inside the figure).
    • Complete sources for all tables and figures must be included (exception: tables/figures based on author’s own calculations).
    • Table and figure text should be in Arial font, size 10, but can go to as small as size 9 if absolutely necessary.
  • Use American spelling and grammar conventions.
  • In descriptions of studies already conducted, the past tense should be used.
  • Acronyms and abbreviations should be written out in full on first usage with abbreviation in parentheses directly following. E.g., foreign direct investment (FDI).
  • Numbers in the thousands should include a comma (e.g., 45,000). Periods should be used to show decimals (e.g., 37.5% NOT 37,5%).

 

III.  Citations and References

Important Note: Proper credit must be given to all cited authors and sources.

AJNIFM does not tolerate plagiarism.

  • In-text references should look like this:
    • The supply of superconductors has been in decline for the last three years (Alpha 2021; Beta 2022; Alpha, Beta, and Gamma 2022). OR
    • Alpha (2021) notes that the supply of superconductors has been in decline for the last three years.
  • In-text citations and reference list items must correspond (i.e., name, spelling, and year).
    • Ensure that people’s names are spelled correctly.
    • Follow the “First name Family/Given/Surname name” format (e.g., Alfred Marshal).
  • Reference list citations should generally conform to the following formats:

Book:

Schwartz, J. B., and B. Loevinsohn. 1999. Financing Immunization in Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Viet Nam. Manila: ADB.

Chapter in an edited volume:

Brooks, D., and D. Roland-Holst. 2007. How Financial Multilateralism can Increase Sustainable Output, Employment, and Income in the Pacific Region. In Static and Dynamic Consequences of a KORUS FTA, edited by W. Koo and R. Zhuang. Seoul: Korea Economic Institute.

Journal article:
