• Over 45 years’ experience in public procurement including World Bank procurement, materials management, IT, e-procurement, budgeting and accounting, procurement policies, legal and integrity aspects, dispute resolution, supply chain logistics, training, writing of policy manuals etc.

• World Bank (2006 – continuing): have worked in India, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Yemen. Experience in activities related to new projects, procurement and contract management in almost all sectors like health, rail, road, power, water, environment, education, agriculture, etc.

• Government of India and PSUs RITES and CRIS (1969 - 2005): experience as public procurement professional with Indian Railways covering purchase, inventory management, procurement policy, budgeting, computerized materials management, warehouse management, e-procurement, training etc. As Controller of Stores, Northern Railway, introduced e-procurement for the first time in Indian Railways that covered preparation of detailed concept, identification of various issues and concerns & technology solutions, development and implementation of a pilot. Joined Indian Railways through Indian Engineering Services in 1969 and retired in 2005 as General Manager, Integral Coach Factory, Perambur, Chennai, India.
